Congratulations, you’ve defeated The Infinite and saved the day…

…But your journey doesn’t end here! Your opponents from Episodes 1, 2 and 3 are ready for a rematch — and they’re stronger than ever. Can you survive these supercharged boss battles?
WELCOME TO NEW GAME+
New Game Plus (NG+) adds a unique modifier to each Boss Fight in each Episode, changing their tactics and making each difficulty level much more difficult than before.
NG+ is intended for players who have already beaten One-Hit Heroes at least once. You can only play this mode if you have 3 Episodes’ worth of cards in your Armory.
HOW NEW GAME+ WORKS

New Game Plus (NG+) empowers each Boss Fight with an extra challenge. To have a fighting chance, you get one Armory Draft before starting the Episode!

In other words, NG+ lets you play with extra cards: you’ll draft 2 before the first boss, so you’ll have 8 cards drafted in total before the final boss.

Test your teamwork and deckbuilding skills by clearing NG+ at the most challenging difficulty levels!
SETUP
Armory Draft
After you pick an Episode, before battling the first boss, do 1 Armory draft. (Check page 13 of the rulebook for details.)
Boss Deck Setup
Find the Boss Card in your Epilogue card pack that matches your current Boss encounter.
I.e. if you’re fighting Punch-Bot, find the Card 0 with “Punch-Bot” on the back and place it onto the deck of Boss Cards.
Start of Battle
Once you finish battle setup, reveal and resolve Boss Card 0 immediately. This means the Boss gets a free turn before any of you!
After Battle
Keep your new Card 0 with the deck of Boss Cards when packing up. If you’d ever like to battle the original boss design, just skip over Card 0.
CARD TYPES
Regular Boss Cards

These cards become new additions to the Boss Deck, where they can appear and do their effect multiple times.
While Bosses start battles with Card 0 before anyone’s first turn, any subsequent reveals are treated like regular Boss Cards.
One-Time Cards

These cards do one big effect and then burn, removing them from the battle.
Burned cards don’t go back into the Boss Deck until end of battle.
Passive Abilities

These go under the Boss Mat and remain in play for the rest of the battle.
Passive abilities supercede other effects and rules, and they don’t return to the Boss Deck during the battle.
Minions

These have all the same rules as other Minions, including the fact that they are removed from the battle once defeated.
Minions do their effect after the ability on the Boss Mat, and before the Boss Card is revealed during the SCOUT phase.
Good luck, Hero!
And before you go, we have one last surprise…
MONTHLY EVENT
Surprise — we’re releasing 12 monthly events that will change up your gameplay! To take up the challenge, play a NG+ game on Level 1-3 difficulty and try to find a winning Hero combination. Not every loadout will succeed! Check back each month to see the latest challenge, and join our [Discord] to discuss strategy.
THE BIG TEAMUP
April 2026
Fresh from The Big Squeeze, we’re joined by two intrepid lemonade stand proprietors who claim to be Heroes of their own. Let’s see if they have what it takes!
These are 2 Alternative Hero loadouts! Print the linked sheet [HERE].
You can now try an alternative Caceus and Sofia loadout! These are modified starting Items for Caceus and/or Sofia that’ll change up your gameplay and drafting decisions.
- Alt Heroes are mutually exclusive: You can only play as Sofia or Dinah, not both, unless you have an extra copy of One-Hit Heroes.
- You don’t have to play as both of these Alt Heroes at once.
- Low-Ink Use Version: [HERE]
EVIL TAG TEAM
March 2026
The early bosses are sick of getting steamrolled every month and decide to work together for once.
Single-Battle Challenge: Set up two random Level-1 Bosses at once.
Then do 4 Armory drafts in a row. Defeat BOTH bosses to win!
- To set up, shuffle all Level-1 Boss Mats from across the Episodes and reveal two.
- Whichever Boss Mat is revealed first is the one whose Boss Card deck resolves first.
- Resolution order is Boss Mat A > Deck A > Boss Mat B > Deck B.
- Once you’ve defeated a boss, its deck/passive turns off.
- For more challenge, you may have one of the random Boss selections be a Level 2 boss. Good luck!
THE GATHERING
February 2026
Sofia introduced everyone to her second-favourite card game and now nobody wants to do anything else with their spare time.
After drawing your opening hand, place one card face-down in front of you.
Once per turn, you may put a card face-down in front of you (this doesn’t count as a card play).
You no longer have a 3-card-play limit. Instead, to play a card, you must tilt one of your face-down cards sideways.
Tilted cards get reset at the start of your turn.
- Reactions don’t require you to tilt cards.
- Effects that would let you play an extra card instead untilt a tilted card.
- Cards you play face-down stay there until end of battle.
- To clarify, by your first turn you’ll have 3 cards in hand and two “landed” face-down cards.
BELLCURVED
January 2026
Caceus has been experimenting with Infinitum to narrow the range of possibilities into more stable outcomes. When asked to elaborate, he cited frustration with a card game involving serpent eyes.
Print off the Attack Sheet HERE or open the Rulebook to page 11.
- Whenever you roll the Attack Die, place a Heavy token on the matching result on the Attack Sheet or Rulebook.
- If there is already a token on that result, reroll the die.
- Once you place the 5th token onto the Attack Sheet, remove all other tokens from the sheet.
- When you play an ability that rerolls or modifies the result, you may choose if the new result places a token or not.
PVP ENABLED
December 2025
Every winter while the villains are on holiday, our Heroes engage in a full auto-battler competition against each other. Losing team buys hot chocolate for the winners!
Print off the linked sheets HERE. This is a competitive game mode!
- Full rules are included on the sheets.
- Leave feedback in our Discord to help us balance future patches of this game mode!
ACTIVE ASSIST
November 2025
BREAKING: Local Heroes realize they don’t have to take turns standing there while their friends struggle for life.
(Once per turn) As a card play, you may discard a card and choose another Hero to play a card immediately.
- Effects that say “you” still apply just to the Hero that played the card.
- Reactions still have their normal timing rules.
- Plague Ward and similar effects proc from this discard.
COSTUME PARTY
October 2025
Trick or treat!
After picking your Hero deck, swap Hero Cards with another one.
Swap your starting 2 Items with that Hero.
Each time you would draft a card, you may instead swap one of your cards any one from that Hero.
- You may swap with Heroes not in the game.
- If you swap with another player, that only counts for one person’s “draft pick”. They’re allowed to refuse the swap, of course.
- Note that when you swap cards, your deck size will stay the same instead of increasing.
INFINITUM SALVAGE
September 2025
Now that we’ve saved the day, let’s do some research on this Infinitum metal. Early tests look promising!
Start battles with 4 Heart tokens from the Infinite.
Whenever the Hero Die rolls MISS, lose 1 Heart.
All Heroes have an extra ability: (Once per turn) Spend 1 Heart to draw a card and play an extra card this turn.
- To remove Hearts, just move them from the table to the supply.
- Once you’ve removed the last Heart, you lose the battle!
- Bosses don’t interact with Hearts aside from potentially rolling MISS.
BLIND BOX
August 2025
Omega-Ultra Cannon is fine, but I was hoping for a Lebobo…
Start Battles with 0 Items in play, but…
Set up Crate-Bot’s 6 Crates before each fight, then tuck 1 random Armory Card beneath each one.
The hero you give the Stolen Crate to also draws the card beneath it.
- Your starting Items shuffle in your deck before the fight.
- The Armory Card you draw stays in your deck between fights.
- When you defeat a Crate, you can look at the Armory Card before picking who gets it.
OVERCLOCKED
July 2025
Good luck, I’m behind 10 Item Cards!
You may have any number of Items in play at once.
For each ATTACK!, roll the Attack Die twice and take the deadlier result. (HIT > Green > Yellow > Red > Purple > MISS)
Clarifications: To indicate extra items in play, you can put them in front of your Hero Mat.
Tip: “worse” die rolls are sometimes in your favour.
DONATION RUN
June 2025
We barely have time to declutter the Armory. Just grab what you can and we’ll purge on the road!
Before you start: Add 12 random cards from the Armory to your deck.
Instead of drafting cards between Episodes, remove any 3 cards from your deck and gain 1 more at random.
Clarifications: You can remove starter cards this way. This event makes fights generally easier — try this on a higher difficulty!
DELICATE FLOWER
May 2025
You’ve been asked to make an important garden delivery.
How hard can it be?
At the start of each combat, place a Light token onto 1 Hero’s Item.
If that card leaves play for any reason, you lose!
During this challenge, pick from 14 cards per Armory Draft instead of 10.
Clarifications: You can pick which Hero and Item gets the token before each attempt.
Leaving play includes the Item going to your discard pile, hand, deck or burn pile.
LIGHT ARMOR
April 2025
Weather report says to expect some light showers this month!
Whenever you deal Heavy damage, restore Light to that enemy.
Clarifications: Normal restore rules are in effect. If the enemy has full Light health, or it’s a Minion without Light slots, nothing happens.
FAQ
Q: Can I print off these instructions?
A: Yes! Click here for the printer-friendly PDF.
Q: Why monthly events?
A: We’ve cooked up a lot of ideas that are fun but don’t work in an “official” capacity — sometimes they have too many rules questions to be worth it, sometimes they’re not the experience that most players signed up for, sometimes they’re totally unplayable with certain Heroes, and sometimes they’re too fiddly or “meta” to work in a normal capacity. These monthly events are the place to find game changers that will challenge you to rethink your strategy!
Q: What if I want to play without NG+?
A: You can revert the game by returning the cards to the Epilogue Box, or just skipping over the 0 card when you play.
Q: Can I play NG+ with DO66-0?
A: Yep! DO66-0 drafts an additional card before the first boss just like a regular Hero.
Q: Level 3 and up with NG+ is too difficult! Do you have any tips?
A: Make sure you aim for cards that specifically counter the strategies of the next Boss Fights in the Episode. Your Hero composition will also influence whether you want to synergize towards ending fights as soon as possible, or gaining value over time!
