Have you always wanted to call the shots on a movie set? If so, now you have your chance with the History of Movies Film Festival. And if you appeal to the masses you could walk away with cash in your pocket.
The Pass the Popcorn History of Movies Film Festival is asking movie lovers to send in their own video versions of their favorite movie scenes. Pass the Popcorn is a popular line of movie and pop culture trivia published by Wiggles 3D.
The Festival is accepting submissions until the end of September. The 16 most entertaining entries will go head-to-head in an online tournament in October. Viewers will vote on Facebook to decide which clips move on to the next round. The best clips will compete for three $100 prizes, two $200 prizes and one Grand Prize of $500.
Aspiring directors can submit as many entries as they like. Contestants are asked to base their two-minute entries on movie quotes provided by Pass the Popcorn. Entries are due by Sept. 30, 2011.
